To be One
It seems we're living in a time
when virtue is a cuss.
Abstaining, is something filthy
promiscuity, is the must.
The big questions are...
What is wrong with you?
Why a good-looking person like you,
don't have a date?
There's nothing wrong with me...
What's wrong with you?
Why fault me cause I chose to wait?
Is it wrong, to be selective,
to use self control,
to exercise one's spiritual beliefs?
Or should one just settle...
"Love the one you're with"
and risk dis-ease,
untimely breeding and other grieves.
Like marriage, remaining unmarried is a calling...
"One is the loneliest number."
We need to stop that foul teaching
and provide support and emotional relief.
The Bible says man should not be alone...
The Bible also says...
from trouble, it's better to be up on a roof top, to get far away...
Married, unmarried or whatever...
respect... is all I'm trying to say.
I would love to have my idea of a decent man for companionship,
mental stimulation and a tender kiss...
But now... I am aware of decent and in order...
So, to give of myself...
is it worth drinks, a fine dinner,
hair and nails, Victoria's Secret,
Coach, DKNY, a trip to Nieman's
and/or a diamond laced wrist?
If you think the answer is yes...
then true self value is truly missed...
Why does celibacy, threaten?
Why does celibacy, offend?
Just because one's choice is to be alone
and not let just anyone in?
Like having ten pounds of popcorn and that's a lot...
But, you get mad 'cause only one kernel didn't pop.
Why does the mere thought of abstaining, promote discomfort?
Or say, the child must be gay.
Why, label one, a Freak?
Just because one views their body
as Special, a Glorious Temple...
A Divinely guided vessel...
that needs time to rest, to heal and to marinade...
And not violated everyday of the week.
To marry or not to marry...
Our decision strife...
It's best, to do all things decent and in order...
Instead of having many people trampling
in and out of our life's...
First... become...
a strong, faithful, compassionate,
focused, patient, forgiving, submitting, prayerful,
caring and sharing... loving...
and a self loving person...
Before becoming someone's...
husband or wife.
